Sunday Club Talao

THE TRACK

The track is approved by ACI Sport and runs for about 800 metres, with the main straight 10 metres wide and the rest of the circuit 8 metres wide. The whole site is floodlit, so sports fans, tourists, families, schools, companies, young and not-so-young can feel the thrill of driving a little racing machine, or train with their own kart, at any time of day. Friends and family waiting for you can relax in the bar area, under the gazebos or on sun loungers.

The rules

FLAGS

During an event, officials need to communicate with the drivers who are racing. Messages are sent with signal flags, each with a specific meaning that drivers must know. The signals used by race officials during events are those set out in the International Sporting Code.

ITALIAN TRICOLOUR

Start. The race starts when the Race Director lowers the Italian tricolour flag.

GREEN

Marks the start of a practice, qualifying or race session. The track is clear and you can go at racing speed.

YELLOW

Danger. No overtaking. Slow down and be ready to steer or brake hard to avoid the obstacle.

RED

The session or race is stopped immediately. All drivers must return to the pits at reduced speed, following the officials' instructions.

CHEQUERED

End of the race or timed session for all drivers. It is waved as the leader crosses the line.

BLUE

The driver is about to be lapped. They must let the faster driver through straight away, without holding them up.

BLUE / ST ANDREW'S CROSS

The lapped driver must return to the pits immediately. Used when the gap to the leader is so large that retirement from the race is necessary.

BLACK

The driver whose number is shown must return to the pits immediately. Their driving has been judged dangerous or against the rules.

WHITE

There is a slow vehicle on track (ambulance, recovery crane). Take extra care.

BLACK / ORANGE DISC

The kart of the driver whose number is shown has a mechanical problem. Return to the pits immediately without getting in the way of other competitors.

YELLOW / RED STRIPES

Slippery track surface (oil, water, dirt). Slow down and increase your safety distance in that area.

BLACK / WHITE

Warning for unsporting behaviour to the driver shown. If the behaviour continues, the driver will be disqualified.
